Safety Around Farms Education would like to thank John Deere for becoming a major sponsor for 2009. This sponsorship will enable farm safety messages to reach children in rural areas of NSW through the distribution of 10 resource kits.

How your organisation can help:

Due to the completion of the original funding from the Foresthill Early Childhood Foundation and Alfred Felton Bequest, this innovative Farm Safety Program is presently restricted to regional areas of Victoria. Other states have requested access to these resources, however, funding has not been available.

Your assistance would be appreciated in any of the following ways:

We are presently seeking Major or Principal Sponsors: To help fund the program in other states so that Schools and Early Childhood services have access to this important safety program.

Donation of Merchandise: Your organisation could donate selected merchandise for the resource kits which would reduce the overall cost of the kit for Early Childhood Service to purchase. For a list of kit contents refer to: (resource kit contents)

Merchandise for Farm Safety Show Bags: After the delivery of each show it would be beneficial to children's understanding and learning if Scallywag or Super Scarecrow could hand out show bags containing farm safety/ home safety related messages (i.e. fridge magnets, stickers, rulers, pencils, balloons, band aids, key rings, activity sheets etc) This would provide your organisation with an excellent opportunity to develop select merchandise with a farm/home safety message featuring your logo. Parents would also have access to this material, further creating a strong image of your organisation being associated with the farm/home safety message.

Monetary Donations: Monetary donations would assist in many ways: in the delivery of the Farm Safety Shows to areas outside Victoria; in the development of more CDs, books games and activities; and further development of this web page.

Safety Around Farms Education provides resources and educational materials to teach young children about farm and home safety.
