Scallywag Scarecrow Home Safety show
Many children die or are hospitalised each year in Australia from preventable accidents in the home. Therefore, the importance of promoting an awareness of home safety practices in young children cannot be ignored.
Scallywag Scarecrow Home Safety show is a 50-minute interactive, educational and fun way of promoting home safety awareness in young children between 3-7 years of age.
Scallywag Scarecrow and Simon the puppet, sing songs and work through safe and unsafe scenarios in and around the home which include safety around; electrical appliances, hot water, fires, matches, heaters, irons, knives, poisons, pills, pools, drive ways and the importance of wearing protective equipment when riding bikes and skateboards.
A CD of the songs performed in the show will be available on the day or through contacting Treena on the number below. Cost:$15
Duration: 50 minutes.
Space Required: The space normally used for group time should suffice. A self standing backdrop is used approx 3m long and 2m high.
Group size: maximum of 50 children
Cost: The cost varies depending on the locality of the centre and whether milage and accomodation costs need to be added. Presently we are seeking funding and sponsorship to be able to cover these costs. The cost of the performance on it's own is $180.
